Trust was shattered for a tight knit community after they learned that their children's teacher was secretly recording dozens of students undress in a Napier Elementary school closet.
"When I talked to my child she told me Mr. Jones was her teacher in third and fourth grade. She told me that she undressed in that closet," said one parent who did not wish to be identified.
Jarrett Jones,31, was arrested and is charged with 2 counts of especially aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor for the videos and 3 counts of sexual exploitation for the images found.
The District Attorney's Office held a closed meeting at Napier Elementary School Tuesday, to try to ease some parents concerns, and to keep them updated with the judicial process.
"Regardless of the number it is always a horrible crime and this office will do our best to do what’s right for the victim and prosecute those individuals who are causing this community and the children of this community harm," said Ken Whitehouse, Director of Research and Media Relations, District Attorney's Office.
Now school officials are trying to earn back the community's trust.
