A man was hit by a vehicle in Williamson County while crossing Murfreesboro Road.
Officials with the Franklin Police Department said a 48-year-old Georgia man was hit Tuesday while walking in the double-left turn lane of the road in Franklin.
He was hit by an SUV on approach for I-65 North. They said he was walking toward the Kentucky Fried Chicken from the Best Western hotel.
The man was in guarded condition at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he underwent tests to determine the extent of his injuries.
Investigating officers did not anticipate any charges against the driver, who was from Antioch.
