NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro police said a "Peeping Tom" exposed himself to a 40-year-old woman while outside her home in Germantown.

Detectives say the man has likely been looking into the window of the woman's home on Fourth Avenue N. early in the morning for several months. However, Thursday was the first time he was seen exposing himself.

Kristin, who didn't want to give her last name has lived in Germantown for 18 months. She says the news of the alleged peeper is disturbing.

"It’s awful, very scary. I live in the neighborhood, I'm out walking the dog all the time from early mornings to evenings, during the day, so very concerning," she said.

Other neighbors like Glenda Castellanos says Friday was the first time she heard about the incidents. She said from now on her windows will be closed.

"We usually leave the windows open so this very, basically surprising to me. I’m obviously going to be more cautious about windows open, being able to see around, see who’s outside the windows or just walking around," Castellanos said.

Police are still trying to identify the man. If you have any information on him, contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.

Metro police released the following surveillance video of the man:
