NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — A man is in critical condition after a skateboard vs. car accident on Broadway Friday night.
Police say the skateboarder was going down 4th Avenue toward Broadway from Commerce Street.
According to police, the skateboarder went straight through the intersection at 4th and Broadway without stopping and was hit by a car.
The skateboarder was sent up and over the front windshield of the car, smashing the windshield.
Police say the skateboarder was taken to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in critical condition.
The car had an Uber sticker, but police say there were not any passengers inside.
Police believe the car had the right-of-way when the crash happened.
Much of lower Broadway was shut down while police processed the scene.
