Metro Police have been investigating after a 16-year-old boy was shot and killed in his West Nashville home.
Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said the shooting happened around 1:30 p.m. Christmas Eve at a home in the 400 block of Wilclay Drive.
The victim was identified as 16-year-old Luan Le. Officials said their preliminary investigation showed the shooting was drug related.
"The investigation since the discovery of his body suggests the 16-year-old was involved in dealing marijuana out of the home," said Don Aaron, spokesperson for Metro Police.
Aaron added the 18-year-old who found Le also acknowledged he had been involved in dealing marijuana out of the home.
Police spent several hours interviewing witnesses, and were pursuing strong leads.
No arrests have been made.
