Officials responding to a medical call said they discovered a meth lab fire.
The incident happened Sunday morning when officers with the Murfreesboro Police Department responded to the call behind the Tiger Mart on South Church Street.
Authorities said they found a man in his underwear who was burned on his upper body.
The man was taken to the Burn Center at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
After an investigation, officials found out the man had left a room at American’s Best Value Inn nearby.
Inside that room, investigators found items consistent with a meth lab and obvious signs of a fire.
The room was cleared of dangerous materials, and adjacent rooms were quarantined.
The incident remained under investigation.
