A convicted felon was taken into custody after allegedly waiting with a gun outside a vigil for a murder victim.
Brandon Gooch Webster had several outstanding warrants and when officers arrested him.
Officials with Metro Nashville Police said Webster was waiting with a gun outside of a home where people were holding a vigil for a homicide victim from last week.
Warrants were issued for his arrest after he reportedly failed to show up for court.
A bounty hunter tried to arrest him on Sunday, but according to an affidavit, Webster tried to wrestle him to the ground, took out his gun and fired at the bondsman.
Police heard the shot and came running but Webster was able to flee.
On Thursday, a bail bondsman tipped police off that Webster was in a car outside of that vigil. They were able to arrest him and reportedly found bags of crack cocaine, powder cocaine and a pistol.
Webster, who was convicted of drug sales back in 2013, was held on a more than $600,000 bond.
