Police Find Pot Grow Near Elementary School, Arrest One

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – An anonymous tip led police to a large pot grown on Reynolds Road near Una Elementary School.

They arrested 43-year-old, Brian Wooden, in the case. He was charged with three counts of felony drug possession in a school zone, felon in possession of a weapon, and felony drug paraphernalia possession.

The Specialized Investigations Major Case Task Force detectives seized about 80 marijuana plants during while executing a search warrant.

The plants were in various growth stages, and all of the homes’ doors were heavily secured with strong wooden braces screwed into the frames.

No one lived inside the home at 1740 Reynolds Road, and Wooden allegedly gained access to the basement through an automatic garage door.

Officers also executed a search warrant at Wooden’s home at 1552 Pleasant Hill Road.

They seized 145 Xanax pills, 120 hydrocodone pills, 1.5 ounces of processed marijuana, and a handgun.

He had a previous aggravated assault conviction and was held on Tuesday’s charges in lieu of $105,000 bond.
