CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Clarksville Police took action to stop a potential threat against Bonnaroo that had been circulating online.

According to a post on the Clarksville PD's Facebook page, they were made aware of social media posts threatening Centeroo, the main performing stage at Bonnaroo. They tracked down the person making the posts and made sure the threat was "minimzed or negated."

Due to privacy issues they were unable to go into more detail about the person making the threats or what was done to stop them, but a screenshot of the potentially threatening post was uploaded to a Bonaroo subreddit.

The post made by a person going by Ken Maynard on Facebook says, "Your all driving in with alot of gas, do u know what a bomb we could make."

Other parts of the post read, "I will have them searching me. I will have them checking out my tire rods on my car. I might kill such people."

Bonaroo begins June 13 and runs through June 16 in Manchester, Tennessee.
