Police: Impaired Woman Wrecked With Grandchild In Car

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A woman was arrested after she allegedly got behind the wheel of her car while impaired. Her young grandchild was also in the vehicle.

Officials with Metro police said Tandi Holmes admitted to consuming three Smirnoff Coolers with sleeping pills.

Holmes told detectives that she had planned on going to sleep and did not remember getting in her car.

Police said she wrecked her car with her 3-year-old grandchild in the car. The child was allegedly unrestrained in the backseat.

Holmes was taken to an area hospital with a fractured wrist, broken toes and a deep cut in her leg.
The child was taken to the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt for treatment.

She was charged with reckless endangerment.
