GALLATIN, Tenn. - A local vet gained a bizarre story to tell about his wedding day.
"And they said we need you to come down here,” said Dr. William Barber. “And I said man I can't come down right now I'm getting married. So anyway, boom, short service. And so, boom, we came down here and somebody's kicked the front door in."
Thirty minutes before Dr. Barber was to walk down the aisle, the police called him to tell him his Gallatin practice had been broken into.
It appears the vet's office wasn't the main target, but instead a studio apartment above the business.
The person who was living in that apartment was home at the time.
The invader never made it inside the apartment. We're told a few items were taken from the vet's office.
The investigation was ongoing.
