Police have been called out to investigate a shooting in Smyrna.
The incident was reported around 11 a.m. Thursday in the area of Sam Ridley Parkway and Chaney Road.
Smyrna police said a vehicle was shot; however, no injuries were reported. Additional details were not known.
Schools in the immediate began operating on a precautionary Code Yellow, which officials said is protocol in this type of situation.
