Officials with the Clarksville Police Department said a man was arrested in for pretending to be a cop in order to get a free drink in a restaurant.
Police said Ronald Taylor impersonated an officer after he pulled a gun and a badge and told the Golden Corral cashier that "the drink is usually free."
Unfortunately for him, a real cop was in line behind him. The officer noticed that the badge was a concealed carry badge issued by Kentucky.
When the officer asked him about it, police said Taylor made it worse by trying to convince the detective that he was with the Department of Homeland Security.
The Russelville man is actually an insurance agent. He was arrested and charged with impersonating an officer.
