A man has been arrested after police say he tried to get rid of cocaine by crushing it up and “sprinkling” it over an officer’s head.

According to an affidavit from Metro Police, Antonio Freeman was arrested Friday on 3rd Avenue South in Nashville.

Police said they noticed Freeman rolling a "leafy green substance” that looked like marijuana. Officers approached him and asked what he had in his hand.

At that time, Freeman allegedly tried to hide it in his left pocket.

Police said he then took out a plastic bag containing a white, powdery substance and crushed it in his hand. He then allegedly sprinkled it over an officer’s head and into the air.

He was arrested and police said they recovered the 2.5 grams of cocaine that he tried to destroy.
