Investigators have asked for the public's help in finding a person of interest in a case of the hit and run crash that injured a school crossing guard.

Officials with the Metro Nashville Police Department said they may have found a picture of the driver that hit 58-year-old Lemuel Frazier.

The photo was taken by a passerby. It shows a man kneeling next to Frazier after he was hit.

Frazier was directing traffic at Richards Road and Dowdy Drive when he was struck by the passenger side of a red four door car, possibly a Chevrolet Aveo. Frazier was knocked to the ground.

The collision also caused the passenger side mirror to fall off. Frazier was transported to Southern Hills Medical Center where he was treated for bruising/injured knee and released.

The suspect was described as an Asian man with black hair who wore eyeglasses.

Frazier was wearing his reflective vest and holding an 18 inch reflective stop sign when the collision occurred.

Investigators would like to speak with the man pictured, and asked anyone recognizing him to please contact the Hit and Run Unit at 615-862-7713.
