Investigators with the Metro Nashville Police Department asked for the publics help in their search for the man believed to be responsible for an attack near First Tennessee Park.

Officials said 19-year-old Brandon Dotson was one of the two men who attacked a woman last Saturday night as she walked near the right field entrance to First Tennessee Park on the way to her 3rd Avenue North apartment.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Dotson charging him with aggravated robbery resulting in serious injury.

They have also been trying to positively identify his accomplice.

The 59-year-old victim had attended a TPAC performance and was walking on Junior Gilliam Way just before 11 p.m. last Saturday when the two robbers approached her from behind, struck her in the head with a metal stake, and knocked her to the ground.

They took her purse and cell phone before fleeing in different directions.  The victim made it to her apartment from where she called for help.

She was transported to a hospital and treated for a serious gash to her head.

Anyone with information on Dotson or his accomplice was asked to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
