Police Search For Weekend Shooting Suspect

Officials with the Springfield Police Department have asked for the public’s help in identifying and finding a shooting suspect.

The shooting happened near Childress Street over the weekend and sent one man to the hospital.

Officers said 21-year-old Brandon Farmer was shot in the shoulder while trying to break up a fight between his brother and the suspect.

Witnesses told police the suspect left in a black Chevrolet Malibu.
