NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Metro Police say an apparent misunderstanding led two siblings of a 2-year-old girl to believe that a man had tried to take her from her yard.
The incident was reported Tuesday, Aug. 11, in the 7800 block of Oakfield Grove.
Police say the man, who was driving an older model green four-door sedan, has been identified and interviewed. They say a second man, who was following him in a silver vehicle, was also identified and interviewed.
They told detectives that they were returning from their lunch break to a nearby construction site, where they both work. Police say the 2-year-old appeared to be close to the road, which caused him to stop in anticipation that the child was going to run into the street.
Police say no charges are expected against either man.
