Police seek man who held woman against her will, assaulted her repeatedly in motel room

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Police are currently looking for a suspect who assaulted a woman last week.

Mitchell Wadlington, 33, is wanted on several charges including aggravated assault after a woman reported that he has held her against her will on April 18.

According to the victim, Wadlington is an acquaintance of hers. She said she had been held in a room at the Winner's Circle Motel by the suspect for most of the day. During that time, Wadlington allegedly punched her repeatedly, tied her up, threatened her with a knife and threatened to kill her.

The woman was able to escape from the motel room and contact police.

When officers located the victim, there were multiple bruises and abrasions on her.

According to the victim, Wadlington had left the scene before police arrived. When the officers entered the room they found broken furniture, marijuana, drug paraphenalia, and other items associated with assault.

The victim was transported by ambulance to a hospital.
