Police Warn Of Dangerous, Mislabeled Drug

Posted

Officials with the Winchester Police Department have warned the city and Franklin County area of a drug that's landing in the hands of kids because of its name.

The drug is called fruity pebbles, and police said in a press release that they have responded to at least 11 overdoses, one death, life-threatening injuries, and one serious accident surrounding two synthetic drugs.

One was a synthetic marijuana that goes by the street names "Fruity Pebbles, Spice or K-2." The other was a pill labeled as Percocet 10-325, but was actually Fentanyl - a dangerous opiate.

Just in the last week alone, six people have overdosed and one person died from the fake pills.
