Detectives have asked for the public's help in identifying a possible suspect in an alleged kidnapping of a 7-year-old in Old Hickory.

The child said she was taken from her 26th Street apartment building to a nearby home last week by a man she didn't know.

The seven-year-old told officers the man was wearing a ski mask, black clothing and boots, but took the mask off once inside.

She said she was told to remove her black skirt, which has not yet been found, but after being in the residence for several minutes, she ran out of the open front door when the man walked into another room.

Despite a forensic interview and working with the child for several days, detectives have been unable to locate the home where she said she was taken between 3:40 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. on March 8.

Anyone in the Old Hickory area recognizing the man depicted in the sketch was asked to call the police department’s Youth Services Division at 615-862-7417.
