Republican Presidential hopeful and Florida Senator Marco Rubio held a rally in Franklin coming off of a second place finish in the South Carolina primaries the night before.

Sunday morning, the crowd in Franklin was the Republican Senator’s largest crowd for a rally so far in his campaign.

“We feel great about the momentum behind our campaign coming out of South Carolina,” Rubio said. “With the race narrowed now, less choices in the field, we feel very optimistic that our campaign's going to continue to grow.”

More than 4,000 people attended the rally, which had to be moved outdoors in order to accommodate the large crowd.

Rubio’s visit came nine days before Super Tuesday, and Rubio stated that Tennessee has been an important state for him to perform well in.

“It awards a lot of delegates,” Rubio explained. “It’s a place we feel really good about.”

Rubio spoke for about an hour before wrapping up the rally. His next scheduled campaign stop was Little Rock, Arkansas.

Rubio appeared on multiple shows Sunday morning to discuss his second place finish in South Carolina, including CBS' Face the Nation:
