It was a moment our city has never seen - Music City all singing the same high note on the streets downtown and on Tuesday that same visceral feeling of excitement prompted fans to purchase pieces of history.
At Dick's Sporting Goods in West Nashville, Jacqui Trailove was buying Western Conference Championship gear for her two young children who will likely make up the next generation of Predators fans.
"We really aren't huge hockey fans but after all the games they've been winning. All the kids are talking about it at school. It gives them something excited about their home town," she said.
At 102.5 The Game Tuesday, no one could stop talking about the Predators winning the Western Conference Championship on Monday night.
"I just love that there's not one single non-predators jersey in that arena," one caller said.
"It's a whole new level. It's great to watch the reaction of the fan base that's been along but also watch these new people jump in," said Willy Daunic who calls play-by-play for the tea.
This unthinkable ride still isn't over, in Nashville the music and the hockey, plays on.
