Protesters Ask GOP To Vote 'No' On Tax Bill

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Protesters were out with signs and megaphones with a message for incumbent Senator Lamar Alexander.

On Friday, they were asking GOP senators, including Bob Corker, to vote no on the tax bill. However, that afternoon, it was announced Corker will vote yes.

Now that the special election has ended in Alabama, the GOP will be looking to widen its Senate majority in 2018.

For the Tennessee election, Alexander said he won't endorse either Marsha Blackburn or Stephen Fincher just yet.

Alexander said it's back to work, regardless of results. Former Tennessee governor Phil Bredesen has been expected to be the Democratic Senate nominee.
