Publix officials announced that its grocery stores would be closing early due to inclement weather.
They released the announcement Tuesday afternoon after much of the area received a significant snowfall.
The stores in the Nashville and Clarksville areas are expected to close at 4 p.m. and will reopen at 8 a.m. as conditions allow.
Road conditions are expected to deteriorate throughout the evening as temperatures drop into the single digits and west roadways re-freeze.
