Officials with the Putnam County Sheriff's Office asked for the public's help in their search for two inmates who escaped from a road work crew.
Jordan Bradley Langford, 23, of Sparta and Michael Wayne Flanigan Jr., 21, of Cookeville were last seen north of Cookeville near Gainesboro Grade and Chester King Road.
Authorities believed they were picked up picked up by a vehicle when they escaped, and are no longer in the are.
Langford was previously charged with a violation of probation. Flanigan was charged with two counts of violation of probation, criminal impersonation, assault, general sessions capias, and driving on a re-voked license.
They were not considered to be armed or dangerous.
Jordan Langford was described as a 5’ 10’’ white male around 200 lbs. with short brown hair, green eyes, and several tattoos on his arms.
Michael Flanigan Jr. was described as a 5’9’’ white male around 155 lbs. with medium length brown hair, brown eyes, and several tattoos on his arms too. Escape warrants have been issued for both men, and their bonds are set at $20,000 per person.
Additional warrants and new charges were filed due to their escape.
Both Flanigan and Langford had earned enough good behavior points to be selected for one of the work crew programs.
