Four baby raccoons were rescued after the tree they called home was blown over during a storm over the weekend.
They appeared to be only a few weeks old and their eyes have not even fully opened yet.
Murfreesboro Police Sergeant Kyle Evans and several neighbors said it's amazing the cubs survived after the large tree split in half and crashed to the ground.
"In this borrow here, we saw one of the baby cubs buried under the debris here and called animal rescue to come help us out," said Evans.
They were not injured but their mother disappeared. It's not clear if she was hurt or just scared away by the storm.
Neighbors have contacted Walden's Puddle animal rehabilitation center to help care for the cubs. They hope to be able to reunite with the cubs with their mother.
