NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — The American Red Cross is issuing an urgent call for donors of all blood types.
On Tuesday, the organization reported there is a critical shortage of type O blood in Middle Tennessee. Right now, there is only a three-day supply.
Type O is the universal blood type.
Some of the reasons contributing to the shortage are sickness sweeping the country and bad weather canceling blood drives.
