COFFEE COUNTY, Tenn. (WTVF) — Human remains found in Coffee County last month were identified as being a missing man from Franklin County.
A human skull was found on November 21 and a couple weeks later, it was identified as Justin Zeigler.
Zeigler was last seen on November 20, 2016. Officials say he had just picked up a check at a Dollar Tree in Manchester. Police say his phone was later pinged that evening in Tullahoma and also in Franklin County.
DNA evidence linked the skull to Zeigler.
Officials say they will continue to investigate the circumstances of his death and search for the rest of his remains.
