Report: Tennessee voter told she 'should be deported'

Posted

Police in Tennessee are investigating a report of voter intimidation.

According to reports, Hendersonville police Sgt. Neal Harris says the department is looking into complaints about a group of men outside a polling place at an elementary school.

Sumner County Democratic Party spokesman Jacob Murrell says his party received reports that a group of men was harassing multiple voters.

He says one woman originally from Hawaii was leaving the polling place when the men asked if she voted, and when she said yes, they said she shouldn't have been allowed to.

He says "they said she should be deported and that it was basically her fault the country was falling apart."
