The brother of a man killed in a road rage shooting asked for anyone with suspect information to come forward so that their family can have justice.

Jason Sparks said he never thought he would be cleaning out the apartment of where his brother used to live.

He also never imagined that a road rage argument would take his brother, Chris Sparks', life.

"They said it was painless and that, apparently they got him right in the heart," said Jason Sparks.

According to police, witnesses said 36-year-old Chris Sparks was in a heated argument with someone inside of a grey sedan with tinted windows. Police said Sparks was shot at least once through his drivers side door.

The gunman sped off from the scene on Ed Temple Boulevard heading east on Buchanan Street, leaving Sparks there to die. His car traveled a short distance before it came to a stop on Ed Temple Boulevard.

"It's a fairly busy road I hope to God that somebody got a license plate. We've seen the footage; it looks like an impala or something, a newer one," said Jason.

Police hoped someone will recognize the vehicle, and bring some closure to a grieving family.

They asked anyone with information that could help police find the gunman to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
