To bring awareness to Autism, neighbors in Robertson County held a lighting ceremony at the courthouse.
Saturday is Autism Awareness day, but Robertson County decided to honor it all month long.
County officials lit their courthouse in blue Friday night, and will keep the light on all month to boost awareness.
"It is a tough journey but it's very rewarding as well. The great thing about it is is the autism community is so supportive. People have been reaching out to us since day one offering support, advice, comfort, prayers, everything."
County officials hoped the trend would go beyond the courthouse. They’ve encouraged other businesses and homeowners to "go blue."
According to Autism Speaks, Autism affects one in 68 children.
