Rural Robertson County home destroyed in overnight fire

GREENBRIER, Tenn. (WTVF) — A Robertson County home was destroyed by fire overnight, according to Smokey Barn News.

The homeowner woke up around 12:30 a.m. Monday to find her home, which is in a wooded area on Tom Austin Highway, on fire.

She said her smoke detectors did not go off until after she called 911.

The woman and her son both made it out of the home safely, but their two dogs and cat have not been found, Smokey Barn News was told.

When firefighters arrived at the house, it was already engulfed in flames.

Smokey Barn News said the home has been deemed a total loss.
