A 15-year-old high school student was charged from having a weapon on campus after it was reported by a parent and student.
Officials with the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office responded to the report of a gun at Blackman High School the morning of Monday, January 11.
On Monday, the parent and student reported that a student had a gun on campus Friday afternoon. School officials quickly identified the student once it was reported.
The student was removed and School Resource Officers investigated further, but here was no report of a gun being on campus that day.
The teen's case was sent to the Rutherford County Juvenile Court.
