MURFREESBORO, Tenn. - New developments have emerged in the investigation underway on Rutherford County Sheriff Robert Arnold.
The county has now been facing a bill for more than $5,000 from an attorney counseling a committee about that investigation.
The Ethics Committee has been looking into whether Sheriff Arnold broke any rules with his involvement with the sale of electronic cigarettes to his inmates.
The attorney advised that committee to wait on its review while the issue was being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, and State Comptroller of the Treasury.
