Sea Star Swim School Wants To Turn Your Infant Into A 'Water Baby'

Posted

Before you and the kids hit the pool this summer, Sea Star Swim School in Hendersonville wants to turn your little one into a water baby.

"If they think they're Michael Phelps they may jump in right away. Some of them are a bit more tentative," said swim instructor Scott Schlasta.

The class participants all have one thing in common: they're all infants.

"I think about four months would be the earliest but they will soak up anything you give them really fast," he said.

Parents like Katie Elliott say introducing their babies to water gives them peace of mind.

Schlasta says in addition to teaching babies critical swimming skills, like holding their breath and finding the wall, now is the perfect time to remind their parents about water safety.

There's still time to enroll your kids in summertime classes. Click here for more information.
