The large number of cats living on the streets or waiting in shelters for "forever homes" is a huge challenge for any city. Nashville is no exception. And as these cat get older, who takes care of them? Now there's a new sanctuary for senior cats.
Readyville's Ferrell Hollow Farm Senior Horse and Cat Sanctuary is a safe place for forgotten felines.
Cindy Daigre is the founder of the non-profit. She started with aging horses but has expanded to senior cats.

"Most people are going to walk right past a 13-year old cat. they want a 2-year old cat or a kitten," she said.
The sanctuary has three rooms for cats, but they're hoping to expand and get much more.
"We should hold onto our older animals. They still have value," said said.
If you would like to visit the cats the sanctuary is having an Open House Saturday, May 20 from 10a.m. to 4p.m.
