NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tuesday afternoon a major technical glitch played havoc with people's internet and phone service, after AT&T, Sprint and Verizon customers across several states have reported services were down.
Problems started popping up around 2 p.m. but by 9 p.m. those carriers said all issued had been resolved. The largest issues came from AT&T.
Monday evening AT&T reported that engineers pinpointed a hardware-related issue and were working to restore service quickly.
The outage affected much of Kentucky and Tennessee. Customers reported issues from Louisville to Lexington to Bowling Green – and here in Nashville to Chattanooga and Knoxville.
Customers reported no cellphone, landline or internet connections.
