A judge has ruled to suspend embattled Rutherford County Sheriff Robert Arnold without pay.
Arnold has been in jail in Kentucky since September. A judge revoked his pre-trial release after domestic abuse allegations against his wife surfaced.
Yet, even while in jail, he's been collecting a pay check from Rutherford County due to the fact he was never suspended.
The sheriff earns about $120,000 per year, meaning he would no longer earn about $10,000 a month while in jail.
A specially assigned chancery court judge made the ruling Monday afternoon.
