NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A Nashville man was arrested this morning after shooting at his ex-girlfriend at her apartment complex Sunday evening.
According to the arrest affidavit, officers responded to the shooting around 9:15 p.m. on the 1500 block of Hickory Hollow Terrace.
Anissa Murphy told police she went outside - worried about her rental car being vandalized - after seeing her ex-boyfriend, Christopher March, on foot in her apartment complex.
When she stepped outside, she saw March standing at the top of a staircase on one of the apartment building, before March began shooting at her.
As March shot at her, Murphy ran to her neighbor's apartment looking for help.
The neighbor's apartment building was struck multiple times as March shot at his ex-girlfriend. Ten 9mm shell casings were recovered from the scene.
At the time of the incident, Murphy had a temporary order of protection against March.
March was arrested this morning and charged with attempted criminal homicide.
