Franklin Police Department officials issued a Silver Alert for a missing 78-year-old, but later canceled it after he was spotted.
Police said Clifton Sledge found a set of keys and unexpectedly drove away from his home, near Carothers Parkway and Murfreesboro Road.
Sledge was in a 2006 black Chevy Impala with Tennessee registration C 1231 J , at 4:20pm.
He was last seen wearing a blue t-shirt, khaki pants, and glasses.
Officers located Sledge and were in the process of reuniting him with his family.
