NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — Two sisters - Gabrielle and Shanice Whittaker - were arrested yesterday after forcing an 18-year-old girl into prostitution against her will.

According to an arrest affidavit from Metro Nashville Police, vice detectives from MNPD responded to a call at Saint Thomas Mid-Town Hospital, where the victim first disclosed what happened.

The victim told the detectives she had been picked up by the sisters earlier that day in Clarksville, at which point they brought her to Nashvillle.

When they arrived, the sisters took the victim to an unknown location, where she was then forced to prostitute herself to an as-yet unknown male.

The victim said she was paid $50 by the man, which she was forced to give to the sisters. She also said the sisters threatened her with both a knife and taser if she failed to make enough money or if she tried to leave.

The detective interviewed 23-year-old Shanice and 18-year-old Gabrielle, who both admitted they drove the victim around Nashville to make her engage in prostitution. They also said they would act as protection for the victim.

Shanice consented to a police search of her cell phone, where nude photographs of the victim consistent with the victim's story were found. Shanice also said Gabrielle had a knife and taser, also consistent with the victim's story.

The sisters were both arrested and are facing charges of felony trafficking for a commercial sex act.
