WTVF — Just because Middle Tennessee didn’t wake up to much wintry weather doesn’t mean it didn’t fall elsewhere in the state.
The Great Smoky Mountains National Park saw considerable snowfall Tuesday morning, forcing the closure of all park facilities and most park roads.
The National Parks Service tweeted video of snow falling at a lower elevation.
Even at low elevations, the snow is falling in Great Smoky Mountains National Park! All park facilities, including visitor centers and adminstrative offices, are closed today along with most park roads. Travel is not recommended at this time. pic.twitter.com/Es8RFnoMCt
