Spring Hill could see increase in property taxes

SPRING HILL, Tenn. (WTVF) — The Board of Mayor and Alderman in Spring Hill held a special meeting this evening to talk about potential tax increases.

On a $250,000 home, owners could be paying an additional $250 in property taxes.

As far as sales tax goes, a first reading of the ordinance was approved. That would raise sales tax point 25 percent to 2.75 percent on the Maury County side.

The money would go to fund capital construction projects.

The final vote will be April 15.
