About 100 soldiers have been scheduled to return to Fort Campbell over the next few days.
Those at the Army post on the Kentucky-Tennessee state line said in a news release that the soldiers were from the 6th Battalion, 101st Combat Aviation Brigade, 101st Airborne Division.
The post said the soldiers have been deployed in support of contingency operations.
Welcome home ceremonies have been planned Friday, Saturday and Monday.
