Two inmates in Perry County have been recaptured after escaping from jail.
Authorities said 24-year-old Raymond D. Gibson and Michael William Brown escaped around 10:40 p.m. Friday.
Deputies said Gibson had been arrested February 7 for aggravated assault and burglary, and Brown was taken in March 11 for domestic assault and other charges.
According to reports, the inmates escaped through an unsecured gap at the bottom of a chain link fence.
Both were found in a briar patch field near River Bluff Road and the Buffalo River around noon Saturday.
Two employees have been placed on administrative leave without pay pending an investigation. Officials said protocol was not followed, which may have allowed the inmates to escape.
