Authorities said they're investigating the weekend death of an inmate at the Bledsoe County Jail.
Media outlets reported the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation identified the inmate as 33-year-old Christopher Axmacher. He was found unresponsive in his cell Saturday.
TBI officials said efforts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful, and he was pronounced dead at a hospital.
An autopsy was set to be performed to determine the cause of death.
