Five service members have been remembered one year after they were killed by a lone gunman in Chattanooga.
The city came together Saturday on the one year anniversary of the tragic day to remember the men killed.
A bell rang after each name was read. Many gathered in prayer and remembrance for Gunnery Sergeant Thomas Sullivan, Staff Sergeant David Wyatt, Sergeant Carson Holmquist, Lance Corporal Skip Wells, and Navy Petty Officer Second Class Randall Smith.
The crowd gathered at the downtown Chattanooga riverfront where Mayor Andy Berke honored the five servicemen.
They died when a man opened fire at a recruiting center and US Navy Reserve Center.
The gunman was killed in a gunfight with police.
