Fire crews have been battling a wildfire in the Gatlinburg area.
According to WVLT, the fire measured around 60 to 80 acres. Reports stated the fire was listed as 40 percent contained early Thursday evening.
No major injuries or damage to structures have been reported.
WVLT stated one utility worker had minor injuries but refused EMS transport.
No evacuation had been put into place as crews stated they would work throughout the night to contain the fire.
An official with the Tennessee Department of Forestry said the fire was originally reported to be 38 acres in the Cobbly Nob area.
High wind warnings with 80 mph gusts were also issued. People in that area have been advised to stay off the roads. Multiple roads have also closed due to the fire.
Dollywood shut down at 2 p.m. Thursday as a precaution due to the high winds and pending weather. They said they have planned to reopen Friday.
Several park facilities at Great Smoky Mountains National Park closed due to high winds and downed trees, according to WVLT. Reports stated winds in the park were recorded as high as 98 miles per hour. Sustained gusts measured at 50 miles per hour.
