Police in Memphis said a convenience store customer who complained about being sold bad chicken allegedly stabbed a worker in the store's parking lot.
Media outlets reported 60-year-old David Haslett was charged with aggravated assault after the incident Friday night.
Memphis police spokesman Louis Brownlee said officers found the victim was cleaning the parking lot when Haslett approached him and said he wanted his money back because he was sold bad chicken. Officers found the victim with a stab wound in the leg.
The victim was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Haslett was being held on $40,000 bond pending a court hearing Monday. It wasn't immediately known whether Haslett had an attorney to comment on the allegations.
